Wavesfactory The Tack Crack: The Tack is a recreation of “Mrs. Mills”, an Abbey Road Studios tack piano with which Elliot Smith, The Beatles, and others recorded some of their songs.

Tack piano is also known as jangle piano. The best thing about the library? It works with an upright piano. You can adjust the “tack” sound to your liking.

This “W-Honky” update is for the upright piano. It features 3 velocity layers, 3 round-robin, time-based multiple-release samples, and pedal noise. The velocity remapping, velocity reverb, chorus, and compressor effects are all controlled from the new interface. The instrument responds perfectly to state-of-the-art scripting.

This instrument makes me very proud. It’s my go-to upright piano library.
